(July 25, 2008)
Cancer is pericardial mesothelioma that gaskets damages the heart (pericardium). Pericardium is a membrane that mesothelial cells around the heart and provide protection to him. Pericardium is composed of different layers 2, 1) outer layer called the parietal layer and 2) an internal layer called the visceral layer. Parietal layer lines the cavity of a fund during visceral layer of the base line. Pericardial mesothelioma occurs when the patient develops cancer tissues throughout the linings surrounding the heart, and as such throughout the pericardium. Why is that important for the pericardium of the body? This is as it acts as a liquid filled “bag”, which insulates and protects the heart from malignant tumors. This also keeps all your heart into the chest cavity and prevent the heart from over expanding when blood flow increases in blood flow. Space between the parietal layer and visceral layer, called the pericardium liquid designed to maintain total area between lubricated and mucous cuimilte reduced, allowing them to slide and glide against each other and pumping blood around the body.
